This is my Yin Yang symbol for the year of 2004. For the past four years I've done a yin yang symbol incoroperating a par of dragons. I think of them as perhaps a sort of book mark for my current level of skill for each year.
So of course I've improved overtime and then so will the quality and dynamics of this symbol. I don't typically scale with this much detail due to the time and effort involved, which is to say... is a lot.
That's an awesome idea, to draw the same basic idea every year to show how your art has improved.
Anyhow, you did an amazing job with the detailed scaled here. I also love the idea that the dragons are holding the orbs. Very cool piece!

Wow, what a unique way to track how well you are progressing, I LOVE this by the way, the scales are wonderfully aligned(alot of artists have trouble doing that*coughmecough*) And the composition is perfecto, the border gives it a nice touch too :3
First off, the concept rocks - both the yin yang incorporating dragons and the fact that you do it annually. Also, the amount of detail you put into the scales, the coloration, and getting the poses to work out just right are amazing!
Absolutely beautiful dragons. Yeah, you are coming along quite nicely indeed. Too bad we have to wait a year to see your next concept, but that's all the fun .
I knew it was going to turn out great when I saw the first draft Very well-done, Blade. And quite a thoughtful way of keeping track of your progress, too! I'm not creative enough to keep track of that sort of thing I probably should.
If I may suggest though, the very outermost outline of the circle looks a little wobbly. If it's possible next time, you might want to consider finding a stencil/template (if you find one big enough) or just a round lid to draw a perfect circle around. If one's not available, you could always photoshop it
